TerraX is not a proven rug, and it cannot be verified as legit either. It is a small, centrally run browser game. Its reward pool is funded by what other players spend, and its own published numbers contradict each other. Treat it as a game you pay to play and might get something back from, not as income.
The game is a tap-to-earn RPG. You mine ores, forge tools and gear, and join a community boss fight. The TerraX whitepaper describes it as "a browser-based clicker game built on the TitanX protocol" and says the weekly world boss pays out up to 30% of weekly sales in TitanX. PlayToEarn lists it on Ethereum, so any on-chain deposit or withdrawal costs Ethereum mainnet gas. ChainPlay also lists Solana, which nobody else confirms.
Where the payout comes from
There is no native gameplay token printing rewards, so the payout does not come from emissions. It comes from sales. Players deposit, buy, and craft. The operator collects the revenue and sends a share of it back through the boss fight. Per the documentation that share is "up to" 30%, which means the other 70% or more never reaches the boss pool.
That structure is not a Ponzi on its own terms. A prize pool funded by entry fees is an old and honest idea. It does mean the pool grows only while people keep buying in, and a player's return is someone else's spend.
The fees, per the whitepaper:
- Deposits in the home token are free apart from gas.
- Deposits in any other token pay 6%.
- Every withdrawal pays 5%, and 2% of that is burned.
Put $100 in through a non-native token and you start with $94 of play money. Take it back out and you lose another 5%.
The current official site tells a different story from the whitepaper. It says TerraX is "built on USDT" and that USDT is the fee-free deposit. It names Olympus Studios as the developer. It describes a monthly boss that pays 30% of that month's revenue to the top damage contributors, and it says a further 10% of revenue funds guild pools, per the TerraX Official Website. So the home token appears to have moved from TitanX to Tether, and the boss cadence from weekly to monthly. None of the sources explain the switch or say what happened to TitanX balances held by earlier players. If you played the TitanX version, that is the first question to put to support.
Whether earning requires reinvesting is also undocumented. Rewards go to top damage dealers, and damage comes from gear. Neither the whitepaper nor the site says how much a player has to spend to rank.
Numbers that don't reconcile
Numbers that don't reconcile
Take the vendor's own figures at face value: $20,000 paid out across 30,000 accounts works out to under a dollar per account, lifetime. The site also claims $50,000+ in marketplace trades. That is probably the useful ceiling on how much money has moved through the game.
The player counts disagree with each other. The X account says 7,000; the website says 30,000. Community complaints collected secondhand go further and allege that boss fights draw something closer to 10 active players. Those complaints also describe an owner who threatened bans against players who asked about the auction house. Treat those as unverified.
Trustpilot is where the site's claims fail to line up. TerraX says it has 4.3 out of 5 from nine reviews, and no profile matches that. A separate Trustpilot profile for terrax.win showed 4.5 from more than 40 reviews as of October 2026, with several reporting USDT withdrawals without issues. The unclaimed Trustpilot profile showed two reviews as of late September 2026, for a score of 3.4, and still sat at 3.4 in October. One is four stars, from August 20, 2026, and says the game "improved over the past year and a half, by a lot." The other is one star, from April 4, 2026: "They banned me when I reached level 50 in the game; these guys are scammers." No company reply is posted.
One ban proves nothing. But a ban just as a player reaches higher tiers is exactly the pattern to watch for in a game where the operator decides who gets paid. And this operator says so directly: "We keep full control of the game systems so we can move fast, fix issues." Nothing here is trustless.
Several things the sources do not settle. TitanX liquidity on Uniswap, its price history and independent wallet counts were all unavailable. The whitepaper lists tokenomics and team identity as "Next Up" placeholders. Olympus Studios has no track record in any source.
Not the TEX token
Search "TerraX" and you will hit a token called Terrax (TEX). Its CoinMarketCap page was an unverified preview with a CertiK score of 2.8 out of 10, and that listing now says it is "no longer available". You can still look up the token contract on Etherscan, though that shows on-chain contract and transfer data, not a market tracker or a CertiK score. Bitget lists it with a $0.00 market cap and says its price "has stopped updating." Nothing in the sources connects it to this game, and its links point somewhere else.
| TerraX the game | Terrax (TEX) token | |
|---|---|---|
| Website | terrax.win | tearax.xyz |
| X handle | @TitanX_TerraX | @TerraxTex |
| Rewards paid in | TitanX, now USDT per site | Not a game currency |
| Supply | No native token | 1.5 billion, self-reported |
If someone in a Telegram group sells you TEX as "the TerraX token," you have met the scam, not the game.
Before you deposit anything
-
Confirm the home token before depositing
USDT or TitanX. The wrong one costs you 6% on the way in.
-
Withdraw early and small
Cash out a few dollars before you invest time in leveling, and confirm it lands on-chain. Rely on the transaction, not a screenshot.
-
Budget for gas and the 5% exit fee
On Ethereum mainnet, a small withdrawal can lose a real share to gas.
-
Use a separate wallet
Keep it apart from anything holding savings.
-
Cap your deposit at what you'd spend on a game
The pool is other players' money, and the operator controls the rules.
For the wallet step, we cover setting up a separate wallet in a dedicated guide (how to set up a wallet without getting drained), including how to fund it without handing your keys to a phishing page.
