Using this site

Reading Alt Codex means you accept the terms set out below. If you disagree with any of them, the remedy is simple: stop reading. There is nothing to cancel and no account to close, because the site does not have any.

Alt Codex is a static website. Every page is a file that was written, built, and uploaded to Cloudflare Pages ahead of your visit. No code runs when you request a page. The site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, and runs no JavaScript at all; the only script element on any page holds JSON-LD data for search engines, which does not execute. There is no analytics script, no tag manager and no tracking pixel. There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter and no comments, so nothing here asks for your name or your email address. The one form on the site is the search box, a plain GET that reloads a static results page. Nothing is stored and nothing leaves the site.

The reader gives this site nothing. That is unusual, and it is worth stating plainly.

Cloudflare, which hosts the site, does process your IP address and user agent in order to serve and protect it. Visitor numbers come from those server logs. That is the whole of it.

What the writing is for

Articles here cover altcoin markets: DeFi protocols and yield farming, Layer-2 networks such as Arbitrum, Optimism and Polygon, blockchain gaming tokens, AI-focused projects, privacy coins including Monero and Zcash, and memecoins. It is published as information and analysis. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset.

Crypto markets move fast, and an article is accurate to the best of our knowledge on the day it was written. Prices change. Protocols get exploited, forked or abandoned. Tokens go to zero. What you do with your own money is your decision and your risk.

Who owns the writing

The articles, headlines and images on this site belong to Alt Codex and to the writers credited on them. You are free to read them, print them, save them and send them to anyone you like.

Quoting and linking

Quote us. Take a paragraph, take a chart figure, take a sentence you want to argue with, as long as you say where it came from and link to the original page. Links do not need permission; deep links to individual articles are fine.

Republishing whole articles is not. That includes translations, scraped copies, AI-rewritten versions and syndication to another site or newsletter. If you want more than a quotation, ask.

Articles link out to protocol documentation, block explorers, exchanges and other publications. Those sites are not ours. We do not control what they publish, what they do with your data, or whether they are still safe by the time you click. Read their terms, not ours.

Alt Codex carries no advertising, no sponsored content and no affiliate links. If that ever changes, the arrangement will be disclosed on the page it appears on.

Availability

The site is not guaranteed to be up. Hosting fails, domains lapse, files get rebuilt wrongly. Pages may be corrected, updated, moved or removed without notice, and no article is promised a permanent URL.

Limits on liability

Alt Codex is not liable for any loss you suffer from acting on something you read here, from a linked site, or from the site being unavailable or wrong. Trading altcoins can cost you everything you put in. That risk is yours alone, and reading an analysis does not transfer it to the person who wrote it.

Changes

These terms may be revised. The date at the top of the page shows when they last were. Using the site after a revision means the revised version applies to you.
